Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP):

  3. The Heating Program (Regular Energy and Crisis Intervention Assistance) will begin Nov. 1 for residents aged 65 and older or homebound. The Commodity Supplemental Food Program

  • Contact The Atlanta Community Food Bank at (404) 832-4968. It serves Bartow, Butts, Carroll, Clayton, Cobb, Dawson, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Morgan, Newton, Paulding, Polk, Rockdale and Walton counties.

  • Contact the South Georgia Food Bank at (229) 244-2678,Extension 206 serving Atkinson, Brooks, Coffee, Colquitt, Grady, Lanier, Lowndes, Thomas, Tift and Turner counties.

Trouble Paying Credit Cards


If you have seen a reduction in pay and are struggling to make your credit card or loan payments, contact your credit card company right away. Explain your situation and ask about hardship programs that may be available. Regulatory agencies have encouraged financial institutions to work with customers impacted by the coronavirus.


Credit card companies and lenders may be able to offer you a number of options to help you. This could include waiving certain fees like ATM, overpayments, and late fees, as well as allowing you to delay, adjust, or skip some payments.
